What are wellness plans?

We believe that extraordinary pets deserve an extraordinary level of care, and a proactive, preventative approach to care for pets of all shapes and sizes. Our Exotic Pet Wellness Club helps cover the cost of everyday care for your furry, feathered or scaled friends.

Our plans provide a simple, affordable way for you to ensure that your exotic pets are protected against preventable diseases and discomfort (by ensuring that parasite control, vaccinations and general health are up to date).

The Exotic Pet Wellness Club gives you the reassurance of knowing you are providing the best possible care for your exotic pet, while spreading the cost across interest-free low cost monthly payments. You will also be receiving great exclusive discounts on nutritional items, veterinary services, procedures and diagnostic investigations – saving £80, £120 or even £140 a year!

£10 per month

Annual beak-to-tail health check with a vet
Two wellness check nurse clinics
Free conscious nail clips
Avipro / Avimix / ACE high-vitamin supplementation (the vet will advise which is suitable for your bird)
Annual faecal microscopy check for parasites
Free microchipping (a short gas anaesthetic may be required, at a small charge)
10% discount off future consultations

Gold membership

£22 per month

All Silver benefits, PLUS:

One FREE extra vet consultation (we recommend six-monthly vet checks, but this can be used for any concern you may have)
Two beak burrs & nail clips a year (a short gas anaesthetic may be required—price included in plan)
One bag of complete bird food (Harrison’s Complete Pellet Diet, or Nutriberries)

Annual full avian health profile (gas anaesthetic, blood sampling & interpretation included)

Join DIAMOND bird membership

Birds are very good at hiding signs of illnesses, and so we recommend an annual blood test to assess the complete health status of your bird.

This not only helps us to establish the normal “baseline” values for them specifically, but also to identify any potential issues such as immunosuppression, active infection, liver disease, high cholesterol, or low calcium levels; which is why we include routine profiles as part of our diamond membership.

X-rays and ultrasounds are very useful, non-invasive tools that can help our team to diagnose and investigate issues in your avian pet. They can be used to assess the internal organs, check bone density, and look for abnormalities that might be the cause of certain symptoms, or a source of discomfort.

Silver membership for your chicken flock

We also provide a silver membership for a flock of up to 10 chickens, as part of our Exotic Pet Wellness Club.

With membership you get:

One half-hour consultation with our vet, to either use for one chicken or discuss any issues the flock may be experiencing.
One half-hour health check clinic with our exotic RVN.
Mite protection for the whole flock – A convenient, rapid treatment against red populations in chicken coops.
Protection against internal parasites, such as worms.
Free microchipping (if needed).
10% off any future consultations or services.
